This specially designed bracket allows you to retrofit a Bosch radar to your PreAP Tesla Model S with nosecone. By using the mounting holes from the 12v post (which is then relocated few inches to the right) this allows a perfect mount for the Bosch radar as close to the front and center of the car as possible. This radar mount is fully adjustable (a 3.5mm hex driver is included for adjustment) so that the radar can be perfectly calibrated for optimal results. This kit includes the metal bracket + the adjustable radar holder, new screws and washers to attach it to the front bumper, new washers and nuts to secure the 12V post to it, as well as the 3.5mm hex driver to be able to adjust the radar.
Bosch radar not included. This is just the mounting bracket for the radar. The radar is sold separately.

Just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for all the great work that you have done on OP. I have been following the progress of the AP1/Comma2/OPversion 0.8 development. It’s truly amazing what you have done. Once again thank you!

In early 2018 I got involved with the OpenPilot project. The more I got involved, the deeper I wanted to integrate OpenPilot with my Tesla Model S for a better experience. Today, by just looking at the instrument cluster (IC) or the center instrument display (CID) you would not know if the car is equipped with the Tesla original AutoPilot (AP1) or with our version of OpenPilot for Tesla.
